It is with great excitement that Athletico Esports, Australian champions and fastest growing Esports organisation, has decided to take the oath of the Summoner’s Code and join the League of Legends community!

Athletico Esports has made the move into the Oceanic Challenger Series (OCS) through a successful bid in the tender for Exile5’s existing league spot. Athletico has acquired Exile5 in the hopes of creating a fantastic connection with the game, the community and a sustainable long term entry into the world’s biggest Esport title.

Australian Esports Media Group CEO - Tomas Ravelid is excited about entering into League of Legends esports:

“With an extensive knowledge of the Esports landscape both in Australia and internationally - coupled with the generous help of several League of Legends experts during the implementation process, we are confident we can bring our already existing culture of excellence, professionalism and player development into the League of Legends community.”

Chris Schubert, Fan Engagement and Team Development Strategist at Riot Games, added:

“We’re looking forward to having Athletico Esports join the OCS. It is great to have strong organisations, like Athletico Esports, involved in League of Legends esports as it helps grow the league and fans.”

With proven success in the development and training of CS:GO Champions, Athletico will be bringing its Esports Academy and Talent Development programs to League of Legends, providing a safe home for aspiring champions to further their ambitions and skills.
